Bulk Uploading Private Accounts via CSV
If you have multiple private accounts to add at once, you can upload them all in a single CSV file rather than creating each account manually.
Before you start
Your platform and broker names in the CSV must exactly match the names set up in Settings → Categories & Tags — including capitalisation.
→ See: Categories & Tags Settings
Step 1: Download the template
Go to the Private Accounts page. Click the template icon in the toolbar above the data table (top right). Open the file in your spreadsheet app.
Step 2: Fill in your data
A correctly filled row looks like this:
Step 3: Export as CSV
Save or export the file as .csv before uploading.
Step 4: Upload
On the Private Accounts page, click the upload icon above the data table. Select your CSV file. Entries will appear at the top of the table.
After uploading: finishing each entry
Click Edit on each imported account to set the starting balance currency — this can't be set via CSV. Once saved, the account is fully recognised and will contribute to your dashboard data.
A note on balances
The Current Balance and Starting Balance you enter in the CSV are a snapshot at the time of import. If you want to track historical deposits and withdrawals for a more accurate net P&L calculation, use the Transactions import after setting up your accounts.
Common mistakes

Leaving Current Balance and Starting Balance the same when they're not — this will make your P&L show as $0
