Billing Settings

The Billing tab shows your subscription status, payment method, and billing history. This is where you manage your plan and view past invoices.

Subscription & Billing Overview

This page gives you visibility into your plan without needing to contact support. All payment processing is handled securely by our payment provider.

Current Plan

At the top of the page, you'll see your active subscription.

Plan Details

Plan Name Your current subscription tier (e.g., "Pro Plan").

Price The recurring cost (e.g., "$19/month - Billed monthly").

Status Badge Shows "Active" when your subscription is current.

Plan Features

Your plan includes specific features. For the Pro Plan:

  • ✓ Unlimited challenges & accounts

  • ✓ Multi-currency support

  • ✓ Advanced report & exports

  • ✓ Priority support

Different plans may have different feature sets.

Plan Actions

Change Plan Click to view available plans and switch to a different tier. You might upgrade for more features or downgrade if you need less.

Cancel Subscription Click to cancel your subscription. You'll typically have access until the end of your current billing period.

Payment Method

This section shows your saved payment method.

Card on File

You'll see:

  • Card type (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)

  • Last 4 digits (e.g., •••• •••• •••• 4242)

  • Expiration date (e.g., Expires 12/2027)

Updating Your Payment Method

Click Update to change your payment card:

  1. Click Update

  2. Enter new card details in the secure form

  3. Save the new card

Update your card if:

  • Your current card is expiring

  • You want to use a different card

  • Your card was declined

Payment Security

Card details are handled by our secure payment processor. The platform never stores your full card number.

Billing History

This section shows all past invoices.

Viewing Invoices

Click Invoice on any row to download or view the invoice PDF. Invoices include:

  • Invoice number

  • Billing date

  • Service description

  • Amount paid

  • Payment method used

Invoice Status

Active — Current billing period, successfully paid Paid — Past invoice, successfully paid Failed — Payment attempt failed

If a payment fails, update your payment method and the system will retry.

Managing Your Subscription

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Click Change Plan

  2. Select a higher-tier plan

  3. Confirm the upgrade

  4. New features are available immediately

  5. You may be charged a prorated amount for the current period

Downgrading Your Plan

  1. Click Change Plan

  2. Select a lower-tier plan

  3. Confirm the downgrade

  4. The change typically takes effect at your next billing date

  5. You'll retain access to current features until then

Cancelling Your Subscription

  1. Click Cancel Subscription

  2. You may be asked why you're cancelling

  3. Confirm the cancellation

  4. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period

  5. After that, your account may become read-only or limited

Reactivating After Cancellation

If you cancelled and want to resume:

  1. Return to the Billing tab

  2. Select a plan

  3. Complete payment

  4. Access is restored

Your data is typically preserved for a period after cancellation, allowing you to reactivate without losing history.

Billing FAQs

When am I billed? On the same date each month (or year for annual plans). For example, if you subscribed on the 15th, you're billed on the 15th of each month.

Can I get a refund? Refund policies vary. Contact support for refund requests.

What happens if my payment fails? You'll receive an email notification. Update your payment method to restore service. There's usually a grace period before access is restricted.

Can I switch from monthly to annual billing? Yes, if annual plans are available. This often comes with a discount. Use Change Plan to switch.

Do I get an invoice for each payment? Yes, invoices are generated for every charge and appear in Billing History.

Is my payment information secure? Yes. Payment processing is handled by industry-standard secure payment providers. We never store your full card details.

Can I add multiple payment methods? Typically one payment method is active at a time. You can update it anytime.

Tax Information

Invoices include the charge amount. Depending on your location, taxes may be included or added separately.

If you need invoices with specific tax information (VAT number, business details), check if there's an option to add billing details or contact support.

Common Questions

Where can I see my next billing date? Look at your current plan details or the most recent invoice date and add your billing cycle.

How do I update my billing email? Billing emails go to your account email. Update your email in the Accounts tab.

Can I get a receipt for my accountant? Yes, download invoices from the Billing History. These serve as receipts.

What payment methods are accepted? Typically major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Check the payment form for all options.
