Income Report

The Income Report provides a detailed transaction-by-transaction list of all income your trading business received during a selected period.

What's Included

The Income Report lists:

Funded Account Payouts

Every approved payout from your prop firm accounts:

  • Date received

  • Source (which funded account)

  • Amount

  • Currency

Other Income

General income from the Transactions module:

  • Date received

  • Description

  • Type/category

  • Amount

  • Currency

What's Not Included

  • Challenge refunds. Refunds are cost recoveries, not income, so they appear in the Expense Report as negative rows that reduce your total challenge cost. They never appear here.

  • Private account trading P&L. Private accounts are personal trading activity, not business activity, so they're excluded from every report.

  • Unpaid or pending items. Only Paid income transactions and Approved payouts appear.

  2. Find the Income Report card

  3. Pick your date range:

    • This Year

    • Last Year

    • Last Quarter

    • Custom range

  4. Click PDF or CSV to export

Grouping and Sorting

The report organizes data by:

  1. Currency, with a separate section for each currency

  2. Date, with newest transactions first (or oldest first, depending on preference)

Each currency section has its own total at the end.

CSV

CSV Format

  • Clean single table format, one row per transaction

  • Report metadata (business name, period, report type) lives in the filename, not inside the file

  • Dates in YYYY-MM-DD format

  • Imports cleanly into Excel, Google Sheets, or accounting software

  • Filter, sort, pivot as needed

Use Cases

Tax Documentation

Provides evidence of income received. Attach to tax records or share with your accountant.

Income Verification

If you need to verify income (loan applications, etc.), this report documents your trading revenue.

Trend Analysis

Export to CSV and analyze:

  • Which accounts generate most income

  • Which months are strongest

  • Whether income is growing over time

Reconciliation

Compare against bank statements to ensure all income is recorded.

Only Paid and Approved Items

The report includes only:

  • Payouts with Approved status

  • Income transactions marked Paid

Pending, requested, or unpaid items are excluded. This reflects actual money received.

Multi-Currency Handling

Each currency appears in its own section with its own total:

USD Income [List of USD transactions] Total USD Income: $25,000 EUR Income [List of EUR transactions] Total EUR Income: €8,000

No conversion is performed between currencies, which preserves accuracy. Your tax professional can advise on how to handle multiple currencies for your situation.

Before Generating

Ensure data is complete:

  • All payouts are recorded and marked Approved

  • Income transactions are marked Paid

  • Dates are accurate

  • Sources are properly linked

Common Questions

Why is a payout missing? Check if it's marked as Approved in Funded Accounts. Only approved payouts appear.

Why is the date wrong? The report uses the date recorded on each transaction. Edit the original transaction to correct it.

Can I include just one type of income? The report includes all income types. Use CSV and filter in Excel if you need specific types.

Where do challenge refunds show up? In the Expense Report, as negative rows that reduce your total challenge cost. Refunds are not income, they're money you didn't end up spending.

What about private account profits? Private account trading P&L is excluded from all reports. View it directly in the Private Accounts module if you need that data for personal records.
