Reading Your KPI Cards
Below the status cards, four KPI cards show the numbers behind your business health. They break down into three income/cost components and one bottom line.
The Four KPI Cards
1. Total Payouts
Total approved payouts from your funded accounts for the selected period — your core prop trading revenue.
Source: Funded Accounts (approved payouts only)
It's surfaced on its own because payouts are usually your largest and most important revenue line. It's also counted inside Total Income below.
2. Total Income
All realized business income for the period, combining every income source.
Formula: Total Income = Payouts + General Income + Private Account Net Trading P&L
Sources: Funded Accounts (approved payouts), Transactions (general business income only), Private Accounts (realized trading P&L per account)
Private account trading P&L is included here because it's realized money your trading produced. Deposits and withdrawals are not — only the trading result.
3. Total Expenses
All costs for the period, including challenge costs, net of refunds. Shown as a negative number.
Formula: Total Expenses = (General Expenses + Challenge Costs) − Refunds
Sources: Transactions (general expenses), Challenges (challenge fees, upfront and subscription), Funded Accounts (challenge cost refunds)
Refunds reduce your expense total — they recover a cost, so they aren't treated as income. Challenge Costs and general Expenses are stored separately and summed together here.
4. Net Business P&L
The bottom line: your overall business profit or loss for the period.
Formula: Net Business P&L = Total Income − Total Expenses
Expanded: (Payouts + Income + Private Account P&L) − (Expenses + Challenge Costs − Refunds)
This is the Dashboard's headline metric and the number behind your Business Health Status. Positive means your business made money this period; negative means it didn't.
What's Included and Excluded
Included: approved payouts, Paid income and expenses, realized private account trading P&L, refunds (as a cost reduction).
Excluded: private account deposits and withdrawals, unpaid transactions, requested-but-unapproved payouts, and any unrealized or balance-only changes.
Multi-Currency Cards
The platform never converts currencies. If you trade in more than one, a card shows each currency separately — look for the chevron (⌄) to expand it. "$5,000 USD" and "€2,000 EUR" stay distinct and are never combined into one figure.
How to Read Them Together
High payouts, low Net Business P&L? Costs (often challenge purchases) are eating your revenue.
Net Business P&L positive but payouts low? Your private trading or other income is carrying the period — check the Sustainability Meter to see whether prop income alone holds up.
Total Expenses spiking? Open the Yearly calendar or Money In vs Money Out chart to see which month and which cost.
