Where Your Numbers Come From
Every figure you see in Trader Node on your Dashboard, in your KPI cards, in your reports, is built from the records you enter: your challenges and their costs, your funded accounts and payouts, your private account balances, and your income and expenses.
There's no separate "books" running in the background. What you enter is what you see. That keeps things simple and means you're always looking at your own data, not an interpretation of it.
You're always in control of your records
Trader Node is a tracking tool, so every record is fully editable and deletable:
Edit anything. Made a typo on a challenge cost? Entered the wrong payout amount? Open the record, change it, and save. The correction flows through to every total, chart, and report instantly.
Delete anything. If a record shouldn't be there, delete it. It's removed from the system and from every total that used it.
What this means for your totals
Because your records are the single source of every number:
Editing a record recalculates every total it touched.
Deleting a record removes its value from every total, chart, calendar, and report.
There's no hidden history of changed values, the current state of your records is the truth.
A note on getting it right
Since deletes are permanent and there are no reversal entries, it's worth pausing before deleting a record you might need later. If you just want something out of your day-to-day view without losing it, use Archive instead, it hides the record while keeping all its data.
See "Understanding the Archive Function" for the difference between archiving and deleting.
