Templates Settings

The Templates tab lets you save frequently used configurations for challenges, funded accounts, and private accounts. Templates speed up data entry by pre-filling forms with your common settings.

What Are Templates?

Templates are saved configurations that auto-fill forms when creating new items. Instead of entering the same details repeatedly, you select a template and the fields populate automatically.

Example: If you frequently purchase FTMO 100K 2-Step challenges on MT5, save a template. Next time, select the template and most fields are already filled in.

Best Practices

Create Templates for Repeated Configurations

If you've purchased the same challenge type 3+ times, make a template.

Use Descriptive Names

Name templates clearly:

  • ✓ "FTMO 100K 2-Step"

  • ✓ "The5ers 50K Instant MT4"

  • ✗ "Template 1"

  • ✗ "My template"

Keep Templates Updated

If a prop firm changes their pricing, update your template to reflect the new cost.

Don't Over-Create

Only make templates for configurations you use repeatedly. One-off purchases don't need templates.

Include Key Details in Names

Put the most important info in the template name so you can quickly identify it:

  • Firm name

  • Account size

  • Type or distinguishing feature

Common Questions

Do I need templates? No, they're optional. Templates just speed up data entry if you frequently create similar items.

What if the price changes? Edit the template to update the cost. Existing challenges created from the template aren't affected.

Can I use a template and then change values? Yes. Templates pre-fill fields, but you can edit any field before saving the new item.

Why isn't starting balance in private account templates? Starting balance must be exact at the time you add the account. A template value would likely be wrong.

What if I delete a template I've used? Items created from the template are unaffected. They exist independently once created.
