Adding a New Challenge

When you purchase a new prop firm evaluation, add it to the Challenges module right away. This ensures accurate cost tracking from day one.

How to Add a Challenge

  1. Navigate to Challenges in the sidebar

  2. Click the Add Challenge button in the top right corner

  3. Fill in the required fields (explained below)

  4. Click Create Challenge

The new challenge will appear in your challenges table immediately.

Required Fields

These fields must be completed to create a challenge:

Challenge Name

Give your challenge a descriptive name that helps you identify it later.

Good examples:

  • "FTMO 100K January 2025"

  • "MyFundedFX 50K Attempt #2"

  • "TFT 200K Phase 1 Retry"

Tips:

  • Include the prop firm name

  • Include the account size

  • Consider adding the month or attempt number

Prop Firm

Select the prop firm from the dropdown. Only prop firms you've previously set up will appear here.

If your prop firm isn't listed, you'll need to add it first in Settings.

Account Size

Enter the funded capital amount you're working toward. This is the account size you'll trade if you pass—not how much you paid.

Examples:

  • 25,000 for a 25K challenge

  • 100,000 for a 100K challenge

  • 200,000 for a 200K challenge

Currency

Select the currency of the challenge account (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.).

Challenge Type

Choose the evaluation structure:

  • Single Phase — One evaluation phase

  • 2-Step — Two phases to complete

  • 3-Step — Three phases to complete

  • Instant — No evaluation (immediate funding)

This determines how many phases you can track.

Purchase Cost

Enter how much you paid for this challenge. This is the amount charged when you bought the evaluation.

Include:

  • The base cost

  • Any add-ons purchased with the challenge

  • Subscription costs (if billed upfront)

Don't include:

  • Future subscription renewals (add those separately)

  • Refunds (those are recorded separately when received)

Platform

Select your trading platform (MT4, MT5, cTrader, etc.).

Optional Fields

These fields provide additional detail but aren't required:

Account Number

The trading account number from your prop firm. Useful for matching records with the prop firm's dashboard.

Start Date

When you began (or will begin) the challenge. Defaults to today if not specified.

Tags

Add tags to organize your challenges:

  • By market (Forex, Futures, Crypto)

  • By strategy

  • By goal or project

Notes

Any additional information you want to record about this challenge.

After Creating a Challenge

Once created, your challenge will:

  1. Appear in the Challenges table with "Not Started" status

  2. Show in your Dashboard KPIs as a cost

  3. Be counted in the "Not Started" challenges total

Next steps:

  • Update the status to "Active" when you begin trading

  • Set up phases if you have a multi-step challenge

  • Record the end date when you finish

Using Templates

If you frequently purchase similar challenges, use templates to speed up data entry:

  1. When adding a challenge, look for the "Load Template" dropdown

  2. Select a previously saved template

  3. Fields will auto-fill with the template values

  4. Adjust any fields as needed

  5. Click Create

To save a template:

  • Fill in a challenge form with your common settings

  • Save the challenge configuration as a template

  • Name it something descriptive like "FTMO 100K Standard"

Adding Multiple Challenges at Once

If you've purchased several challenges, add them one at a time. There's no bulk import for challenges—each one needs individual entry to capture the specific details.

Tip: After creating each challenge, use "Add Another" to immediately start the next one rather than returning to the main list.

Common Questions

Should I add failed challenges from the past? Yes, if you want accurate historical cost tracking. Past challenges help you understand your true cost-per-funded-account and overall investment.

What if I don't remember the exact cost? Enter your best estimate. You can update it later if you find the receipt.

Should I add free retry challenges? Yes, add them with a cost of 0. This keeps your pipeline complete and lets you track all attempts.
